Outdoor Practice

Our actions are unique both in preparation and staging.

With us, there is no “acid flow, glowing coals or swampland”. We are honest and 100% authentic, providing the reality and the nature to offer unique seminar facilities.

The actions are demanding, but they will not be overwhelmed. It is not our aim that the participants can overcome each other enormously or do things they really do not want. In none of the actions must each participate, one or the other can be omitted, the decisive factor is that the participants are involved and contribute.

Here we present a small portfolio of exercises, whereby, after 30 years in the outdoor seminar, we could probably write a book about exercises.

Depending on the moderation and nature of the reflection, these actions can be used differently.

We are looking forward to your direct request to office@outdoor-leadership.com and have them personally coordinated with you!

house building

A huge house, where everyone feels comfortable and have space.

Our house construction is a creative outdoor action for large groups, a team action where up to 200 people play an important and vital role.

Above all, groups, where the share of women is high, are very popular with house builders. It is about design and design and, of course, the appropriate implementation by the construction team.

Also the role of building supervision must not be missing, which will ultimately lead to the final acceptance.

All necessary utensils are provided by us. We are mobile with our equipment and can travel to any location.

This exercise is great when it comes to teambuilding and communication.

Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 200 people

Location: everywhere

Material: Rods, tarpaulins, tackle, spray, Nilon

Lumberjack Games

A regionally “authentic” team event in the Salzkammergut.

In the wood chopping games, 20m logs are climbed, among other things, with crampons, with tree-trunks sawn through with powerful tracts or even trees cut to a centimeter-precise target.

The wood chopper games are an excellent competition.

All material and tools are provided by us, delivered and built up.

Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 200 people

Location: meadow or forest

Material: saws, gloves, cutting blocks, trunks, tree branches

raft building

Overcoming the lake and building a raft in the team provides fun and excitement, but also promotes the cohesion of the group.

The raft construction has been tried and tested for years and is unmatched. Where else can a team (even large groups) demonstrate its creativity and cooperation with fun? The next test drive will show whether the raft carries all.

We provide all kinds of materials, lifejackets etc..

For safety, a boat with an electric motor accompanies the group.

Group sizes of up to 100 persons can be catered for (corresponding rafts are built).

As a venue, we prefer the Hallstatt lake in the Salzkammergut, but are mobile with our raft tools and can travel to any place.

Our product “Float-o-Mania” ensures more dynamism and competition.

Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 100 Pers.

Location: lake well accessible

Material: rods, barrels, boards, sails, spray, cords, lifejackets, paddles,

E-boat to the accompaniment

Car construction – Flintstone Car

We build with you an environmentally conscious vehicle for the entire team.

Order delivery, order, presentation, budget … all these processes are clearly communicated and processed together.

The autobahn is the optimal team training for technically oriented teams.

We moderate in different variations according to your wishes.

This exercise is practicable everywhere. We come with the necessary equipment and materials to your seminar center and start.

The team is divided into the following groups:

  • the planning team

  • the producers

  • the designer

  • the technicians

  • and of course the customers

The result is different every time and above all it is always fascinating and amazing how well the car works,

We are mobile with the devices and materials and you are welcome to visit.

    Application: seminars, events

Group size: 5 – 25 people

Location: everywhere

Material: rods, tarpaulins, tackle, spray, nilon, tire, screwdriver, ropes, steering wheel, engine

    Outdoor Teamkitchen

Team cooking differently … with us everything takes place outside.

An active sports team is not always appropriate and desirable, but are you looking for a team-sponsoring group action?

This is about a given budget, division of labor, time management, everyone should be busy and ultimately a good result!

In our tree house, our self-catering lodge or our fire site in the grounds of the Natural Ropes Course you will find the ideal backdrop for this special Teamevent. Groups up to 20 participants can cook up perfectly in the self-catering hut, groups of up to 60 people can be accommodated in the rocky terrain of the Natural Rope Course and the adjacent tree house. We will organize the approach, presentation and cooking equipment.

This event offers an optimal alternative to climbing events and other sports events and is ideally suited as a content at workshops, seminars or simply as a teamevent. “Good succeed!”

    Application: seminars, events

Group size: 5 – 60 people

Location: everywhere

Material: Tables, sunshades, knives, budget, fire place, barbecue, …

    Common goal achievement

A group is always very differently occupied, different skills, different strengths, different interests, etc. come together.

Nevertheless, the goal must be achieved together, everyone will play their own individual way, choose their own tactics.

For a seminar or event, we suggest a very impressive exercise for this purpose, well prepared, accompanied by short seminar content (flip-chart in the field) after a common pre-training (sniffing – practicing – strengthening) the Predigtstuhl summit, Planned and climbed. There are three different ways to choose from, these are managed and the summit reached at the same time by all groups.

Variant A: Normal path

Variant B: easy via ferrata

Variant C: Schluchtsteig – somewhat more difficult via ferrata

    Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 100 Pers.

Location: Bad Goisern

Material: radio equipment, climbing harness, helmets, backpacks, sketching material

    Natural Ropes Course

This cable system in Austria is unique in Austria in the midst of an impressive natural rock landscape and a view of the Dachstein, is still unsurpassed and is looking for its own.

Many challenges, such as a Hängebrücke, short climbing courses, abseiling, rope swing, flying fox tracks and much more await our participants. We can look after up to 80 people at the same time in the facility, of course, under the most stringent safety precautions.

It is not the sport here, but the common experience, seasoned with a shot of adventure. In the morning, first experiences at the high-rope course are collected in quiet surroundings, which requires a lot of trust and team spirit. After a common lunch at the cozy fire place (on request we organize an extensive buffet) in the afternoon we go to a nearby canyoning canyon or a fixed rope route to reach a summit.

    Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 150 people

Location: Bad Goisern

Material: Ropes, harnesses, helmets …

    Teambridge

Here we do not reveal how it works. It is an amazing and ingenious action where only the existing tools build a self-supporting bridge. The teambridge is suitable for various topics such as: Team, Communication, CIP.

As with all other exercises, we work with dimensions that are usable, we do not build examples, “do not rock”, but build the final product.

    Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 100 Pers.

Location: everywhere

Material: bridges, components

    Float o Mania

This format is the absolute enhancement of classic raft construction. More fun is not possible, under standing pressure the groups are forced to put the “competition” in the shade.

In several small groups, each team is required to build a stable raft. The best raft is judged according to specific criteria. Here, not only stability, but also design, creativity and spent “construction” time decide.

The subsequent race at the lake ultimately determines which team will be the winner of the competition.

Ideal for groups of 20 to 200 people.

For this event, we are flexible and also come to the lake of your choice.

    Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 200 people

Location: Lake with ideal shore access (usually Lake Hallstatt)

Material: rods, barrels, ropes, tarpaulins, tackle, spray, nilon

    Snow safari

    The special Winterevent.

All the experiences that the winter brings with you are concentrated here in a dense environment, there is something suitable for everyone.

No other event is as diverse as this outdoor day.

With snowshoes, it goes to a certain goal or to a summit.

On the way there are actions such as:

    • Construction of an igloo

    • Competitor with Spill Detector

    • Getting into an ice cave

    • Lunch in a mountain hut

    • A simple climbing adventure

    • With saws, blocks are cut from the snow you are molded into first-class igloos.

    • Dogs can also be organized on request, sledding and guiding dogs is a special experience.

      Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 80 Pers.

Location: Krippenstein, Postalm, Bad Goisern

Material: snowshoes, skidoo, mountain tops, shovels, saws, gloves

      Igloo – Overnight

We build igloos as part of snowshoe hikes, at company events as a team-sponsoring exercise or just for fun.

The construction of an igloo requires tricks and the corresponding “know-how”, which we gladly offer.

      We provide the following knowledge:

      • Where is the best place?

      • What kind of snow cover construction do you need?

      • What tool do I need?

We will show you how to build a comfortable, safe snow house as quickly as possible.

Tea and a hot goulash soup will strengthen you on the tour.

In the USA, this kind of outdoor training is known as Wintercamping. With touring skis or snow boots, you cross the Dachstein plateau and use both natural terrain forms and technical equipment such as the GPS device for orientation. Slept in the self-made igloo in the super-warm sleeping bag. The dinner and the breakfast for the next day you prepare yourself in the igloo.

        Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 30 people

Location: Krippenstein, Postalm, Bad Goisern

Material: snowshoes, skidoo, mountain tops, shovels, saws, gloves, sleeping bags,

Mats, cookers

        roundabout

One of our inventions is the gyroscope, an exercise that can not be missed in any of our seminars. The goal is to bring a giant steel gyroscope to the turning and thus to the independent “Weitertanzen” without anybody or something touches the top.

It is always exciting how different here are teams and individual participants and are also amazed at the result that hardly anyone has ever believed. Here an intensive reflection can also reveal interesting behavioral measures in the team.

        Application: seminars, events, sports

Group size: 5 – 40 Pers.

Location: everywhere

Material: ropes, giant caster

        house of cards

Why not even erect a “giant card house”, even if stepladders and possibly also cable guards are needed?

On the wooden boards different events or texts are drawn / written according to the content and title of the workshop or event.

Assembled, the map house has a structure of over 3m height, built in with all the important inputs of the participants and thus a symbol that integrates each into the team.

        Application: seminars, events,

Group size: 5 – 100 Pers.

Location: everywhere

Material: wooden boards (40x60cm), road signs
